Seasons of Life

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Some friends are so quiet, with such caring sweet gentle souls. They move with abundant grace and simplicity. It may take a minute to realize that they are no longer standing there. But then, in a peaceful moment, when you stop to listen… you can’t hear the softness of their voice. You can’t hear the understanding in their kind words, saying a prayer or two, wishing you the best in everything that you attempt to do.

It’s then that you comprehend the priceless voice is indeed absent. The precious voice that you never once heard complain… the faithful voice that was quick to acknowledge the needs of others… the beautiful voice that reflected the love of God in tone and character… the special voice that can never be replaced.

So, once again, you pause and say goodbye… Goodbye for now dear friend… Knowing that there is no need to ask why. Therefore, in love and humility, you give thanks to Jesus for allowing you to know such a unique soul, gift-wrapped as such a wonderful person.

For God is good and His mercies endures forever. Thank you God, for the amazing people that we meet on this journey called life. For some are truly rare and genuinely exceptional and it’s an honor to have had one of them call me friend.

God Bless… I am Wiley’s Granddaughter.
