In Jesus Name

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me. » Psalm 50:15

As I bowed my head in prayer today, I was reminded of a song by Shirley Caesar. A song that I first heard many years ago. A song that I have cherished over and over again, down through the years. A song that affirms the direct prayer line connected straight to Jesus, where He will immediately hear and favorably answer, those who call upon His name.

It’s a song of comfort. A song that brings order to the chaos of daily struggles and challenges. A song that covers a multitude of concerns. As I listened to the song, I began to meditated on Scripture that affirmed the benefits of calling on Jesus. I am so thankful for the presence of Jesus in the Old and New Testament. I give praise to God, hallelujah, for Jesus Christ’s saving grace in the New Testament.

May these Bible verses comfort and inspire all who read them. May this song, help to empower all who need a word of encouragement and hope on this today.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. » Psalm 34:17

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. » Matthew 11:28

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. » Matthew 7:7

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. » Jeremiah 29:12

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. » Romans 8:28

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. »  Philippians 4:6-7
