Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. ~ Romans 15:13

While I was out walking my little dog this morning and catching up on my emails. I happen to read an interesting post. A young man was sharing the struggles that he faced as a well-educated, highly skilled individual with an impeccable professional resume. Yet, he was unable to secure a position that he wanted after numerous attempts.

I kept reading the story, waiting for him to write, that finally God had given him the dream job that he and his church congregation was praying about. Not so… the post stated that the young Christian got disenchanted, reviewed his relationship with God, and still wasn’t employed in his dream job, at the dream salary. Not yet anyway… But, he reported that he had found grace. God given grace… to wait.

Sometimes, when we have done all that we know to do, prayed, worked hard, and prepared ourselves. What else is their left to do? That was the question that I asked myself as I prayed and shared my concerns with the Lord my God, in Jesus name.

Then I understood, the grace that the young Christian had found will serve him well when God finally gives him the job and salary that he desires. Sometimes in the circumstances of life, when things, just won’t go our way, at the time, and place of our choosing. We may falter. We may even fail. But we must not give up! Don’t get lost in the storms of life. Look to the hill from which comes our help. Hope is always by divine grace. That dream job, dream salary, or whatever our prayers desire, it is already ordained for a time and place, by God, according to His will.

For it was Oswald Chambers, in My Utmost for His Highest, who wrote, “And all the Almighty God is ours in the Lord Jesus! And He will tax the last grain of sand and the remotest star to bless us if we will obey Him.”  Wow… and to drive that point home. I looked up from my computer screen, out of my window, to see a bird fly into a bush and begin eating berries. I just had to say, “Oh, my God,” as I picked up my cell phone and snapped a photo. I was immediately reminded of Matthew 6:26 in that graceful moment in time.

For when we trust God and stay true to Him and allow the Holy Spirit to order our steps. Be anxious for nothing… for nothing must compete in our lives with our loyalty to Jesus Christ.  Let us take hope in knowing that He may not come when we want Him, but He is always on time.  In Jeremiah 29:11, He affirms, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God Bless… I am Wiley’s granddaughter.
