For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back? ~ Isaiah 14:27
The years, tears, and fears can hold us captive and spar against our dreams—our purposes—the very promises of God. But if God said it. He will bring it to pass, no matter our age, experiences, or environment. Regardless of who believes in us or who doesn’t. Irrespective of who supports us or who works against us. Whether we own a prestigious exclusive credit card or we’re wondering how to pay for our next meal. We can attain God’s promises if we trust Him. For He isn’t a respecter of a person (Romans 2:11)—He always hears Jesus as He intercedes on our behalf (John 11:42).
So, let’s dust off our hope (Matthew 19:26), stir up our faith (Jeremiah 32:17), and embrace our destiny (Isaiah 46:8-11). David said in Psalm 138:2, “I will give thanks to Your name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, because Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name.” Who can come against such a claim? No one can!
We mustn’t get anxious in the waiting (Philippians 4:6-7). Though our dreams tarry (Habakkuk 2:3) we must hold fast to our assurances (Ephesians 3:20-21). We may feel crushed under the cares of the world and defeated in our struggles. The things we have and the things we do… often aren’t enough to ease the ache in our hearts, calm the stress of our minds, or comfort our troubled spirits. But these burdens—aren’t ours alone to bear. Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens (Psalm 68:19).
Remember Queen Esther (Esther 1-10), David (1 Samuel 17), Job, Daniel, Paul (Philemon), Nehemiah, Nathan the Prophet (2 Samuel 12), and the persistent widow (Luke 18) who must have known—nothing can stop—the promises of God. For those who’ve waited and waited, it’s not too late. Think of Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Amram and Jochebed, Joseph, Isaiah, Simeon and Anna, and John. . . For Jesus tells us,God will bless us abundantly(2 Corinthians 9:8; John 14:13; Philippians 4:19; Jeremiah 29:11).
So, let’s journey easy… trust the plan… breathe. God’s got this! Though we might not see it now—God has provided all we need to do everything we need to do (2 Peter 1:3). God shall bestow upon us exactly what we need when we need it (Philippians 4:10-19). Therefore, let’s continue to trust God to lead us on. . . to see our dreams fulfilled—our purposes realized—the very promises of God attained.
God bless. . . I am Wiley’s granddaughter.
