Often when I’m feeling perplexed by the cares of life, I’ll hear a song that speaks to my heart and helps to calm my restlessness. Such is the case today with I’ll Just Say Yes by Brian Courtney Wilson. Scripture tells us that music is an important part of praise and worship (Psalm 95:1-3; Daniel 2:23; Ephesians 5:18-20). Praise and worship—feelings and expressions of sincere gratitude, reverence, and adoration for God—should be foundational to how we live our lives each day.

May Grace and Peace be Yours in Abundance

The Bible tells us to attend church so that we can worship God with other believers, be taught His Word, and grow spiritually. The early church was dedicated to the disciples’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and prayer” (Acts 2:42). While the early church did not have a specific church building per se, each day worshipers continued to meet together in the temple courtyards or at each other’s homes (Acts 2:46). Regardless of the physical man-made building, believers delighted in fellowship with each other and enjoyed the teaching of God’s Word.
